Heh...Seth finally managed to find the PC cable for his camcorder, so this afternoon has mainly been spent transferring the past couple of years' household footage onto my laptop, and then editing it...which was pretty dull, until I realised that the little clips of knife-throwing footage were just an 80's anthem away from coalescing into a montage...
I'm sure it would've been a lot better if I'd gotten some sleep last night, but hey...

Footage from the most recent investigation by The Limit's R&D department:
Perhaps now you really begin to appreciate just -how much- Seth deserved the arc-welder we bought him...

If you were planning on stapling, say, a birthday card, to a person...which part of the body would you think would be the safest target?
Hypothetically, of course.

It's Seth's birthday this week, and as a show of thanks for the many, many hours that he's spent helping out with our various DIY projects in recent months--despite him having moved out 7 months ago--we've gotten him an arc-welder, along with a pretty snazzy welding mask.
While we are of course immensely grateful for his assistance, we also felt that the gifts should reflect exactly what he means to the household...
So I've spent the past couple of days working on this:

Yup - he's our General Itinerant Maintenance Person...
------[edit]------
Fuck...I've got a horrible feeling that Seth'll be turning 25 on fucking Red Nose Day. |

Rosemary’s Baby produced by Michael Bay.
...There are no words.
Although...I mean, Polanski was great, an' evryfing, but...like, you gotta admit that he didnt chuck nearly enough burning 18-wheelers at Mia Farrow, and after sitting through 2 hours of subtle, brilliantly insidious terror...well, you can't help but feel cheated when the son of satan isn't some kind of hulking cyber-demon, can you...

I almost walked into Joan Rivers while en route to work yesterday; I was so stunned at how incredibly small she is that I completely forgot to try chatting up my second favourite Jew.

The glue soon found its way onto his other hand, and his phone went off about three minutes later; watching him attempt to answer it with his face was all kinds of entertaining.
3 hours and several cleaning products later, he ended up going to bed with sticky hands.

"And so now, not only do men have to ensure that women have orgasms (their right, to be sure, and a pleasurable task, but ladies - have you tried it? It's either very easy or like playing pool with the lights off: never anywhere in between. I think every woman should have to try giving another woman an orgasm. We'd hear a bit less on the subject then, I fancy)..." [edit - see comments for the full rant]

So I managed to get the bear-trap home last night, with only a few weird looks from fellow commuters as I cradled it in my lap.
As much as I dislike wine and port, I nevertheless arrived home from Portfest drunk enough to think it would be funny to set the trap and leave it on the bathroom floor.
No hausmates were lying on the floor this morning, although the trap had been sprung...so I'm assuming that either they managed to avoid it, or that they gnawed off their own leg to escape.
